Activity 1: St Joseph’s Cathedral

At the turn of the century, there was a great deal of construction happening in New Zealand. Many of the new British settlers wanted to build homes and community meeting places, such as churches. One of the largest buildings to be constructed during this period was St Joseph’s Cathedral in Dunedin.

St Joseph’s Cathedral is just one of hundreds of beautiful cathedrals around the world.

Use your search engine to find a picture of another famous cathedral. Post a picture of the cathedral on your blog. Underneath the picture tell us: the name of the cathedral, where the cathedral is located, when it was built, and how long it took to build.

As i look at the pitcheri saw one big big building and then i thought to my must be a really big and awesome building but it does look like one really BIG BIG castel to me from a place that i have already seen and i really really think it was in the city of auckland. but that is one massive castel and big to that i have now it right now if i lived in there i would alway's wish to have my own room.

When i look at this style that the people have made i just think wow what a style they have made to keep it rolling this style is one amazing awesome great perfect style it looks like a really really real artty technique that these people have made this is one awesome technique i love this painting that these poeple have made it looks realistic painting it looks like a persons style that someone that will want to wear but mostly this is a cool and good style.

Activity 1: The More, the Merrier?

In the 1800s, most families were pretty big. In fact, many parents had an average of seven to nine children.  Imagine that you were a child in the 1800s and you had nine siblings.

On your blog, please tell us how you would feel. Would you enjoy being a member of such a large family? Why or why not?

I would not like to live with a large family because it would be to hard to travel to different places especially if we have a small car. I would also not like to live with such a large family because the house that we'll be living in might be a little to small & would not be enough room for such a large family. I would not like to live with a really large family because everyone would be so annoying & would keep on disturbing others. So this is why I would not want to live with such a large family because they might not listen to your parents as well as to make trouble with others. So here it is these are the reasons why I would not like to live with a large family.

getting to do these cool things are awesome waka ama is one of them netball and ruby could be the best but waka ama is the greatest sport out of all history waka ama is a awesome and really cool sport 

I want to be a waka ama because it gives you mussels energy and it helps you to make you do alot of sporty things waka ama is one really cool thing to do so thats why it's good to do your own waka ama.
