Image result for Rangitoto

Kia Ora guys this picture that I have got is called Rangitoto Island. This is a volcano and is the youngest but the largest volcano of Auckland - New Zealand. This Volcanic volcano is in Hauraki Gulf close / Near Auckland. This volcano is in Mission Bay and could be seen in Auckland City even if you are driving near Mission Bay. Have you ever been to Rangitoto Island ?

  1. Kia ora Precious,

I had the chance to go to Rangitoto Island a few years ago as part of a race that I was participating in. A company hosted a half-marathon called 'The Dual' that involved running 21 km across Rangitoto and Motutapu islands. The two islands are actually attached to one another and my friend, Carolyn, and I ran (and walked) the full 21 km loop. It was pretty tough because we had to run all the way up to the very top of Rangitoto and it was very steep! Fortunately, we were able to encourage each other and support each other the whole way. It was actually pretty fun!

Have you ever been to Rangitoto and/or Motutapu island? If not, I would highly recommend it! I would also highly recommend continuing on with the Winter Learning Journey blogging programme. There are so many activities on the site for you to choose from and you will earn points for every activity that you complete :)

Hope to see you blogging again soon!

    Cheers,
    Rachel
