The more, The Merier

Activity 1: The More, the Merrier?
In the 1800s, most families were pretty big. In fact, many parents had an average of seven to nine children.  Imagine that you were a child in the 1800s and you had nine siblings.

On your blog, please tell us how you would feel. Would you enjoy being a member of such a large family? Why or why not?

------------------------------------------------------------------

I would not like to live with a large family because it would be to hard to travel to different places especially if we have a small car. I would also not like to live with such a large family because the house that we'll be living in might be a little to small & would not be enough room for such a large family. I would not like to live with a really large family because everyone would be so annoying & would keep on disturbing others. So this is why I would not want to live with such a large family because they might not listen to your parents as well as to make trouble with others. So here it is these are the reasons why I would not like to live with a large family.

  1. Hey there Precious, thanks for completing another activity and well done for working so hard during your school holidays.

I have enjoyed reading your thorough response for this activity. I like that you have listed many different reasons for why it wouldn't be much fun having a lot of siblings.

I never really thought about the issues that would arise from travelling. One thing I would like is being able to play games and sports whenever you want because you would always have enough players.

Can you think of any other reasons why it would be a good thing?

    Thanks, Billy
